4/26/2026

The EMDR Level II training took place on 24, 25 and 26 April 2026 in A Coruña, with the option of attending either in person or online.

Aimed at those who had already completed Level I, this training represented a key step in the development of more advanced therapeutic skills. Over three intensive days, participants were able to delve deeper into the clinical application of EMDR, integrating theoretical knowledge, supervised practice and experiential exercises.

The programme included a review of fundamental concepts, the general treatment approach and the development of the different phases of the therapeutic process. Essential aspects were covered, such as the preparation of the clinical history, treatment planning from a past-present-future perspective, and the establishment of resources for emotional stabilisation.

One of the central themes of the training was addressing blocks during processing, as well as the use of cognitive interweaving and the identification of potential obstacles in therapy. These topics were complemented by practical demonstrations that facilitated direct integration into clinical practice.

In addition, a specific section was devoted to the applications of EMDR in various disorders, including addictions, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, complex PTSD, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and phobias. This approach enabled participants to understand the versatility of EMDR in different clinical contexts.

The training also attracted professionals keen to update their knowledge, thereby fostering a shared learning environment focused on day-to-day clinical practice.
