The city of A Coruña will soon host a new edition of the Level II EMDR face-to-face training course with online streaming, a key opportunity for mental health professionals wishing to further their specialisation in trauma treatment.
The course will take place from 24 to 26 April 2026 at the Intra-TP Centre, and is aimed at professionals who have already completed Level I and wish to deepen their understanding of the clinical application of EMDR. This training represents a fundamental step in the development of more advanced therapeutic skills, integrating theory, practice and supervision.
Over three intensive days, the programme will cover essential content such as a review of previously acquired knowledge, the general approach to EMDR treatment and the development of the different phases of the therapeutic process. Key aspects will be addressed, including the patient’s clinical history, treatment planning from a past-present-future perspective, and the establishment of resources, which are fundamental for emotional stabilisation.
Furthermore, this training places special emphasis on addressing blocks during processing, cognitive entanglement, and the identification of potential obstacles in therapy. All of this is complemented by practical demonstrations and experiential exercises that enable participants to integrate their knowledge in a practical way.
The course also includes a module focusing on the clinical applications of EMDR in various disorders, such as addictions, eating disorders, borderline personality disorder, complex PTSD, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and phobias. This broad clinical approach enables participants to understand the versatility and effectiveness of EMDR in different therapeutic contexts.
To access this Level II course, you must have previously completed the basic training and have completed supervision hours, which ensures an appropriate starting level among participants. There is also a refresher option for professionals wishing to update their knowledge of the standard protocol.
